Would you have fired Max? Carol Anne is our 'Walter Cronkite' and we have confidence in her news reports and trust that she relates to our community.

Carol Anne Meehan has been a staple in our household for over twenty years. She is an outstanding journalist and news anchor. This is wrong, just wrong.

Carol Anne does such generous charity work for our community and she is a part of our lives every day. How can Bell unceremoniously terminate her without so much as an opportunity to say goodbye after over 25 years of service? The news story itself about the layoffs has been pretty much swept under the rug on the CTV news hours and CTV Morning Live. My heart goes out to Carol Anne... Max would be very disappointed... Please bring Carol Anne back.

Disgraceful what Bell Media is doing to local television and radio. Soon there will be no local news so we need to stand up and be heard!

Not a good corporate decision. Viewers are being alienated and in long run the resulting reduced viewership is going to outweigh the cost savings.

It is with complete shock and disbelief that we learn of the loss of Carol Anne Meehan, Carolyn Waldo, and Lois Lee at a favorite local TV broadcasting station CTV (formerly CJOH TV). I am sure most of you who resided in Ottawa in the early sixties will recall CJOH's airing the first time at its birthplace on the perimeter of Lebreton Flats the 12th of March 1961. https://www.facebook.com/lebretonflatsremembered/

What a shame! Losing Carol Anne that way is a disgrace to CTV Ottawa. I will no longer watch the 6 o'clock news. CBC will work just fine. Why isn't Graham gone instead. He hasn't been around that long and certainly hasn't done what Carol Anne has for Ottawa.

My friends and family are switching to CBC - your action, with respect to a community leader like Carol Anne, is disgraceful
