It is a shame that she was laid off. I have nothing against Graham Richardson, he was a good addition to the 6 o'clock news team, but I can't understand why he was kept (with only 5 years of service) and Carol Anne was laid off. It makes not sense at all!

She should not have been let go.... Graham Richardson has not served Ottawa as long as Carol Anne and should have been terminated.

A serious and trusted News anchor in Canada's Capital for almost 30 years. We only had one choice and now we have none, with Mr. Richardson the Jr.reporter who is not really known in the Capital.

Bell - bad decision which will just contribute to lower viewership! I will look elsewhere for my nightly news coverage if this decision is not reversed. $183 million dollar profit last year is not enough??

Watching Carol Anne Meehan give the local news a local context and heart has been a daily M-F activity. She is a large part (+ with Max) why it "was" a top rated new show in the valley. Bell Media should be rewarded by people moving their service bundles to other capable companies. I hope a savvy Ottawa / Ontario based media company will scoop her up. Carol Anne nothing but the best to you and thank you for making the news enjoyable to watch again for so very many years. You will be missed by our entire household.
