So sorry to hear of the heartening layoff of Carol Anne after all she has contributed to the community. I will opt to watch CBC news as a result of her departure and wishing CBC becomes the new news leader as a result. We will never forget what Carol Anne meant to many of us.

Cannot understand CTV Bell Media. They are laying off all the best journalists and anchors. Most likely to save money they will hire students to replace at a lower pay rate.

Huge mistake by Bell Media! Carol Anne was a familiar face in my living room for decades. She felt like a friend or family member and made the news worth watching as she delivered the good and bad with empathy and professionalism. No disrespect to Graham Richardson but if you had to let one anchor go, you chose the wrong one. Carol Anne has deep connections in the viewing region and firing her was a slap to loyal viewers. Bring her back please!!
