I hope that bell media will reverse their decision. I am considering getting my 6 pm news elsewhere. You are an integral part in Ottawa & we do not want to lose that family-friendly connection that we felt in your regard. wishing you well.

Please bring this lovely lady back to our evening news. Much like the late Max Keeping she is a fixture in our living room every week night!!!

Very saddened that CTV had to handle the layoff in such a manner. Carol Anne is an important reason on why my family watches the evening news.

What in the world were you thinking Bell Media? We NEED Ms. Meehan. She represents everything this community stands for. I've watched CJOH for the past 30 years, faithfully, until I learned about this stupid move. Until she's back, I'm not watching your station again.

I moved to Ottawa in 1990 and Carol Anne was already Max's co-anchor. She is definitely now what makes CTV news. Now I have to find another channel...... :-(

Shame on action taken against Carol Anne Meehan.Does it all have to be all about the bottom line,no human feelings.

I am beside myself that this could happen!!! Carol Anne has been coming in my home every night during the week for 27 years and do not like the fact that she has been canned after Max's death! She has been a pillar in our community and I think this is very wrong. She is a leader and should be the only person doing the 6 p.m. news!!!

This move is very typical of Bell restructuring employees with 25 to 30 yrs service. I know, it happened to me 15 years ago and I'm still suffering the consequences!

Leave to a mega company to not consider local roots and the community in Ottawa. Carol Anne deserves better.

Carol Anne Meehan has been an integral part of our Ottawa valley society for over two decades and releasing her is an incredibly short-sighted and stupid corporate move. The people who did this obviously have no sense of what she means to our community. In my opinion, Graham Richardson, relative to Carol Anne Meehan, is a cold and stumbling news anchor. She was the reason my wife and I watched CTV news. Like so many others, I am shocked, even repulsed at this decision. I was about to switch to Bell VIbe; with the misinformation I have received in this regard, and with this foolish decision, I have completely lost confidence in Bell and it's decision makers. Disgustedly, Ken Saunders

How disrespectful to a terrific co-anchor the way this was done. The broadcast will definitely be lacking its star. Please reconsider.

I think it was wrongful dismissal. What ever happened to seniority?

This is one individual who should not have been laid off. Her name & face in synonymous with the CTV evening news.

How dare you heartless, unthinking so called bosses to be so inane as to blatantly dismiss an icon of Carol Anne's stature and status in the Ottawa community.

I'm astonished that Bell would get rid of such a popular face of Ottawa. Bring nack Carole Anne and Carolyn Waldo
