Interesting to see that BCE shares have been on the rise and dividends are up so Bell certainly isn't hurting. Would love to see what the CEO is taking in and if salary is reflecting the reduced advertising income that is said to be the reason for the cutbacks. Carole Ann and for that matter Carolyn both deserve better, they are dedicated residents who are greatly involved in the community, can't say the same about the CEO, President or other big shot who were involved in this decision to probably save their over inflated salaries and bonuses. I for one am no longer watching CTV news and will boycott products that advertise on it so I guess revenue will fall even more (if more join in)

Carol Anne is a class act. CTV is showing poor class, and even ageism, in laying off this pillar of our community. As a daily viewer of CTV news, I beg you to reconsider this unfortunate decision.

Carol-Anne's exit from the CTV Ottawa newscasts is a huge blow to Ottawa Valley viewers. I for one will no longer support Bell Media because of their lack of compassion on Carol-Anne & her family, and on the entire community Bell purports to serve.

Outrageous that such a long-term, locally-raised employee should be arbitrarily dismissed while keeping Mr. Richardson on staff even though he was a somewhat recent hire, not even from this area and I'm sure is much higher paid which would have resulted in more savings for Bell had they dispensed with his services.
