It is a terrible decision to get rid of someone who brings such warmth to everyone's home. I am far less inclined to watch the 6 pm news.

It would appear that both ageism and sexism are in play here, but you forget that Carol Anne has more knowledge in her little finger than some little blond Twinkie who you can pay half the salary to!

are you guys nuts? This is a local person who everyone watches because she is believable. Now you got some guy in a suit who just reads the script. Give her job back. I cannot watch your news and I probably cannot talk on my Bell phone any more. If that is the way you treat your staff, why do people do business with you. Lots of other stations and lots of other phone, internet and cable (I have Fibe) that are loyal to employees. Obviously Bell is not! Too bad!!

When I moved to Ottawa My aunt introduced me to CTV news and to this news anchor stating she was part of the family and this is what is so good about Ottawa. My aunt was so right and I have come to love Ottawa the community thanks in a large part to her. The friendliness and fun in her news casts is infectious and truly makes my day. CTV rethink your decision before I lose everything Bell related!

I think it is very sad to see Carol Ann go as she is such an integral part of the community and represent it so well. I think you should revisit this decision. Like they say there are other channel. CNBC looks good.

Carol Anne and J.J. were the 2 people to me that made everything feel okay even though news can be pretty depressing. Now she's gone and I'm pissed!!!
