I think its shameful how people who support the community are treated.
It would be wise to consider the views of those who support our news family.

If you are cutting costs and only want one anchor delivering the news...why not choose the LOCAL not someone from TO. SHAME on you bell-media. It's not too late... reinstate Carol Ann Meehan. After 27 years this is how you treat an employee and one month before Christmas...BAH...HUMBUG!

I think it is appalling how Bell Media has treated Carol Ann, also Carolyn Waldo. Carol Ann has been a fixture in our home for many many years. Sorry but Bell if you want loyal customers, you need to be loyal to your employees and the desires of your viewers. We will no longer watch the CTV news unless and until Carol Ann is reinstated - we are switching to CBC!

I was shocked at Carol Anne's firing. She was the best anchor in Ottawa and better than many others on the many other stations available. From the limited information given, Bell Media's action were age and gender discrimination. If
Carol Anne and Carolyn did not get hefty severance packages, they should sue Bell Media.

I was shocked and furious that a trusted reporter such as Carol Ann would be dropped so abruptly without thought to the fan base she has built over her years of thoughtful genuine caring service. Shame on Bell Media .
