I was devastated to hear that Carol Anne Meehan, Carolyn Waldo, Lois Lee, Rick Gibbons and Shelley McLean were dismissed from their jobs. Bell Media only made a profit of $183 MILLION last year!!! I boycotted CFRA and CJOH today -- watched the CBC News. Bell Media should certainly reconsider this decision.

We tune in almost every evening to hear the news from Carol Anne. She "is Ottawa", like Max was. What a slap in the face. Whoever made this decision should lose their job!

I can not believe that Carol Anne has been laid-off!!! I am dismayed, dissappointed and oh so sad that this dedicated, loyal face and voice will not be joining me and all of OTTAWA at our dinner tables any more. Max would be so disgusted - he would come out of the grave if he could. Shame on you!

It is unfortunate that Bell Media has let Carol Anne Meehan go. She was the face of CTV Ottawa news and commanded loyalty and respect. I had been a loyal CTV news watcher and will now switch to CBC.

Extremely coldly and unprofessionally done. Carol Anne was shown the door, without a word by Bell Media to their viewers. On top of that, she was never given the opportunity to tell us her good byes. Nice way to consider us, your former viewers.
