I cannot understand how she could be eliminated. We will miss her and will switch channels for news. Somebody made a foolish decision when letting her go.

Why didn't they let about 5 of the younger, newer Persons go?
Why Carol Ann Meehan? Why not Graham Richardson?

Big media is nothing but a business, no regard for quality of news. Next step to show your disgust: cancel all your Bell services and tell them why. Show them they're losing a lot more than the cost of a salary.

You fired the wrong anchor. I no longer watch your evening news since Graham R. was hired nor do any of my friends. If you had retained just Carol, you would gain back a lot of listeners. You have lost a very popular local connection to your viewing audience. Shame on you.

I never sigh online petitions but this cut made me furious. How stupid can a company be to let Carol Anne Meehan go. She is the face of Ottawa news and I think a huge business mistake was made in this ridiculous lay off! Come on Bell Media use some common sense. That is it for me watching any programming from this company until they make it right.
