Allow the WYFCP elections to occur ASAP without changing the by-laws mid election!

Jake, you should try doing some thinking for yourself instead of being a parrot for your dad. The "juice head" or "meat head" (real classy by the way - most people reading your post will ignore your opinion after that) did nothing wrong, which is why Poulton made that decision. The great man that were speaking of has dedicated countless hours to this program and decided to give even more of his time to put on a conditioning program once a week for any kid that showed up. Not just for football players and not an "extra practice". Instead of inquiring about it, your daddy reported him to the board. Not only did Poulton find nothing wrong, but CCFL investigated and found nothing wrong. And about the stacking the teams. Are you confused? The last 3 years our numbers have plummeted. We went from having 2 teams at every level to not even bring able to field a team at every level. Poulton is not power hungry, your dad and Mike are. That's why they are trying their last ditch effort of changing the by laws. If they weren't power hungry, why wouldn't they just step away after watching the fall of the Cavs? And this petition is just to get the word out. That county board of recs is already aware of what is going on. It's over. Tell your dad to leave the keys to the Gator on the desk. He won't be needing them anymore.

So all you dumbasses commenting about how bad this is for Winfield learn you facts cause youth football is about teaching these young kids the life lessons that can be taught through football not so 40 year old man trying to relive his glory days.

I’ve never seen a group of idiots like this first of all you forgot to add the fact that Sean Poulton has done nothing good for this program over the last 3 year he’s been killing it by telling coaches things like you’ll have to make some kids quit instead of making a second team to accommodate the over flow of kids at that level. Or how about the fact that all this is about some juice head that couldn’t follow the rules so he got reported to the league and Sean was the one telling the meat head he wasn’t violating any rules. But regardless congrats to every single one of you that signed this dumbass petition that won’t do anything because it’s not a legal petition and you have underage kids signing the damn thing you have killed a program that’s been around since the 1970’s all because some egotistical parents didn’t get their way....

Remember, this should be about helping to influence and develop young men and women through sports, not anyone’s personal agendas or power grabs.

At this point it's pretty clear that new leadership is needed. The once proud and strong Winfield brand, is now a shell of its former self. The board should just save all of us the time, and for them to be able to hold onto a little bit of pride, and step down. They are not the future. With Brian Faya as President, the families will come running back. GO CAVS!

I have coached not only Cheerleading but Dance Team/Poms as well for almost seventeen years. I brought my girls to Winfield because of the program. I became a Coach at Winfield because of the program. I am sadden to see people try and "fix elections" by trying to change the bi-laws after applications were accepted. In the programs I have coached for, amending bi-laws happens before or after elections, not during the time when elections are held. To me, that is bringing the focus off of building a better program.

I am fully supportive of different leadership, particularly given the significant falloff in registrations and the need to think beyond the program for solutions because that is not a Winfield only observation. I also think it is important that we recognize the success that a fresh perspective has brought to the program (eg punt, pass and kick) and not lose that momentum.

Why should it left up to the four people telling Shaun Poulton that his "gift of volunteering" for Area Football Director would not be accepted this year which allowed the 4th member to run unopposed and be elected to this position. Seems very unfair to me

I have coached at Winfield since 2004. Because I have been around so long I have developed relationships with people on both sides of this argument. I believe that board elections need to go forward ASAP without any changes to the current bylaws. Not because I have an agenda, but because It's simply the right thing to do. Not just because it's unfair to change the rules half way through, but because due to the dwindling number of kids participating in the program, we have fewer volunteers. It's imperative that our volunteers are able to perform duel roles if they are generous enough with their time to do so. I am a LHS grad and I played youth football at Sykesville. I brought my son to Winfield because it was the best place for him to play. It's time we get back to that!

Sounds like the integrity of these so called, 'pillars of the community' is in question. Winter is coming!

Shame on you! I always heard great things about this program. Really makes me wonder if I would consider putting my Child in this program now.
