Age Appropriate Books for Westfield Washington Students

Definitely topics to be discussed at home, learning this at a high school level is a different story, but not for elementary school

By hiding these books from parents, the agenda-driven trans people already know how most parents would respond and therefore want to keep it a secret. It is chid abuse and should not be tolerated.

This is not acceptable

Parents of Elem. school age children should be dealing with these issues at home. Our schools are having a hard time teaching them how to read, write and do math. Issues like these are taking time away from learning/teaching the basic tools they need to serve life.

Let parents deal with this subject matter at home.

Putting these books on school shelves is an implied endorsement that overrides parental authority. To teach or encourage children (of any age) that it is ok to change or alter their biological sex or go from 1 day to another being male, female, androgynous or other is NOT healthy or loving to do to anyone, much less a child. We need to put our children first, Not the culture.

We will end up oulling our children out of public school if these books are presented to them.

Where does this all stop?

I whole heartedly support Holly and believe these books and the program DO NOT belong in the classrooms.

We as a community have a responsibility to protect all of our children from inappropriate books and material that take away their innocence Again it is teachers, and administrators responsibility to teach children academics and parents responsibility to explain personal matters to young children . I’m sure our teachers have enough on their plate and not distract the whole class I believe we have counselors to help or assist with certain matters

I do not want my granddaughters exposed to these books at school. Her parents are the proper ones to guide them in these matters.

While someone may identify as a sex different from his/her biological sex, biology shows that there only 2 sexes - male and female. These are complicated issues. These books are inappropriate for children and they seek to normalize something that is found in less than 5% of the population.

Please do not give my granddaughters access to this kind of material. It is every parents right and responsibility to guide their own children in these sensitive subject matters.
