it's not fair that everyone else gets to be out of uniform but we have to and that's more money that ill parents have to spend buying school clothes ...... and they still have to but school supplies

I don't think that we need get rid of the dress code, but I think we are just too concerned with it. It has taken away class time from people who wear clothes that are not distracting at all. There have been times in class where teachers have made us stand up so they can inspect our uniform! If they have to scrutinize our clothes to tell us whether we whether we have broken the dress code, it completely undermines the purpose of the dress code: to keep us from distracting other students.

I've been late to class multiple time from female teachers scouting for girls in the hallways, who have even the most minor of uniform violations. My skirt being at my knee is no less tempting than my skirt being an inch above it. Every girl is not at school to impress or get attention, believe it or not, we wear some things in order to be comfortable or please OURSELEVES.
