All sports are important! Not everyone just likes basketball and football. Don't ever get rid of any programs that give the youth an outlet to succeed or show their talent. Is that not what higher learner is about? That program could have the next gold medal winner, you will never know if you take it away.

The track kids deserve to keep their program as much as any other sport does. They work just as hard if not harder.

I have several good freinds that run for WKU. And I do not believe the budget should be cut. I am XC/Track runner for LWC and we race WKU in both XC/Track often. they are a good team and don't deserve this. I encourage you not to do this against a good program with a great history in track and field.
