Oppose a public pay parking lot at Waverly Belmont Elementary

No pay lots in 12South! Keep the green space! Down with greedy development!

I do not feel this will be a safe zone for kids.

Just what we need. Another parking lot. .

Developer greed has already cost our community terribly.

This is not the solution to 12 S. sparking problem. Please do not use space that has been used as a green space by the neighborhood to convert to parking. There must be better options. Thank you.

this parking lot will increase traffic on already busy RESIDENTIAL streets and will reduce neighborhood green space.

Please do not move forward with this project.

Public land is just that - public. The commercial interest should solve their own self-made problems and not have the public bail them out. They should try closing at reasonable hours. The city does not need to be in the business of promoting alcohol consumption until 3:00 AM in the morning. I believe Nashville has many more pressing issues. Thank You. Jim Stringer

I have lived on S. Douglas Ave., just down the road from this newly proposed school, for the past 11 years. I am completely opposed to a paid parking lot on the school grounds. I hope one day to send my children to the school and it would be a shame to see A parking lot take the place of free space for the community.

The safest place for ALL children in Nashville should be our public schools / school grounds. Would you want the physical exercise opportunities and safety needs of YOUR children and grandchildren to be sold to make the rich, richer? High quality schools, including extensive outside activities, are a basic necessity for ALL children. Physical safety, whether it be protecting children from getting hit by vehicles, or abused by inebriated customers from near-by bars should be a “no-brainer”. Minimize traffic around schools. Maximize and equip school grounds for greater outside learning experiences. When is Nashville going to STOP trading the needs of less affluent children and their families for the pacification of the wealthy?

Since Nashville hung out a "For Sale" sign at the city limit, what future is there here for the common person?

Modern cities reduce car traffic and increase walkabilty , why is Nashville so far behind abd continues to encourage car useage to the benefit of the buisness owners and the detriment of the residents ?

No thanks to this. Restaurants and bars shouldn't share parking space with an elementary school. Not even sure why this is being considered.

We should not be using public space for private businesses. It would seem that they should be accountable to provide parking for their customers, they are making the profits!

We have no data on traffic flows as the school has not opened. Additionally Nashville needs to support alternative transportation over car usage.
