Please veto HB2439.

Honorable Governor Abbott, kindly veto this bill. Help keep our city's residents and visitors’ safe and our home and businesses engaging.

Please veto. Give our city power to regulate

This is a city related issue, not state. I think you will find that the cities with regulations are in much better positions as far as economic development, aesthetics, and even crime rates.

Governor Abbott, please veto this bill. This "one size fits all" legislation will drive poor quality home and business construction in the hope of decreasing construction costs and result in deterioration in lower income neighborhoods.

Local governments and citizens know their environment much better than someone setting standards in Washington. Let the people who know be in charge of their own standards.

We bought in Southlake because of the planning and zoning restrictions. We would have bought elsewhere if we were concerned future development could be so detrimental to our property values. Keep the standards that were set many years ago. We don't want "bare minimum" construction in homes or businesses.

Governor Abbott, Cities need to be able to set their own aesthetic values to maintain their individuality. Please veto this bill.

Please veto this bill. While I staunchly support independence, there must also be a check on said independence to ensure someone’s liberty to do as they wish does not infringe on others’ liberty to enjoy the excellence and beauty that careful planning and wise infrastructure by others. I understand the importance of freedom, but it must also be enjoyed with good faith and wise accountability.

This bill is wrong and should not be signed into law.

As a neighbor to Southlake I also believe this is a MISTAKE. I hope Colleyville takes a similar should this situation arises.

This is ill-conceived idea that is not good for the state, our economy, and our ability to continue the successful development we have seen in the state.
