This bill is a tragedy for cities that require high quality building materials and aesthetics and a boon for developers intent on building as cheaply as possible. It may have been unintended, but the consequences of this bill is a race to the bottom for Texas neighborhoods.

This bill if adopted will remove a community right to say how their city will develop. It will put neighbor against neighbor to try to enforce deed restrictions. So disappointing the average home owner was forgotten about by their state officials.

This bill will turn all our cities into a sea of metal buildings and lead to the butchering of historic neighborhoods and structures. If you do not veto this bill, I will do everything in my power to make sure you are not elected again.
