HB2439 is Detrimental to Texas Cities

Veto this bill before my neighborhood is destroyed.

Let us keep things unique and aesthetically pleasing.

This bill was written to help a single tract home developer but will have far reaching negative impacts to our established neighborhoods and historic downtowns.

This is not needed and is only here because of big money lobbying

This rule takes away city's ability to make sure builders aren't putting up cheap buildings that will not retain their value (or look)! Veto this bill, Governor Abbott.

Get out of local government business!

This bill sounds horrible. What is the purpose? Let’s try to put citizens first instead of construction companies, eh?

Sorry, but any elected official who is in favor of this bill, should NOT be re-elected. This bill will make lobbyists and developers rich out of the voters' pockets. Shame on our elected officials. Please, Governor Abbott, protect us from our politicians, veto HB2439. Thank you.

Please VETO this bill. Ordinances are written to protect property values and this bill will negatively affect them.

This bill is extremely detrimental to life safety as such is not exempted in this bill - it will affect much more than just aesthetics!

Preservation of local quality control is essential to the economic well-being of Texas residents and will affect decisions of businesses to move to Texas, or not. This is another bad example of overreaching by government control that is so hypocritical of those who complain about federal intervention.

Code are national minimums. Texans deserve the right to choose better for their neighborhoods! Please VETO!

This bill will be detrimental to existing home and property values and will impact the long term sustainability of Cities, Neighborhoods and homes.

Minimum standards are key to the success of our communities!

Ordinances restricting building materials and design are fully vetted with the public. Let local decide.

This action would be detrimental to many areas of Fort Worth including downtown and many districts that have worked hard to protect the fabric of their communities.

We can do better than bare minimum construction standards. Our cities will crumble in a matter of 10 years if this is what we adopt as construction standards.
