Environmental issues regarding increased traffic loss of scenic views. Common sense must be allowed to prevail in refusing the development proposals.

We already have enough problems with sewage and traffic. sewerage and traffic and cannot take more. We need to keep this area free from buildings for future generations and not be swallowed up by building contractors who are only interested in profit. How many times can NO taken as final.

There are many points of objection to this planning proposal but I think one of the most important points is the current near traffic gridlock at the Linslade junctions of New Road; Stoke Road and Mentmore road at busy times, an extra 375 houses in Linslade and the extra cars this would put on the road would I think ensure total gridlock at this road junction

Leightonb/Linslade can't cope with the amount of people and traffic we have now, so another 300 homes which believe me will only be the start ! should NEVER be allowed.

I chose to move here many years ago because of the unspoilt countryside very nearby. We have already been subjected to the building of the bypass and the added road noise that goes with it! I OBJECT to more houses being built on what is a beautiful, wildlife rich, walkable landscape. This area is straining at the seams already and more houses will just compound the current issues, i.e. the troubled sewage system, the side streets in the area overflowing with parked cars due to the lack of sufficient station car parking and the constant traffic chaos on the road leading to the town centre. We are often reminded to look after our towns and cities and to enjoy what we have.....we are at full capacity in this area...we do not want the surrounding countryside spoilt with additional buildings, more roads and more cars. We do not want them or need them. We cannot take anymore traffic! MORE HOUSES = MORE ISSUES.

This application is totally inappropriate. We cannot keep building houses in Leighton-Linslade without the supporting infrastructure. Even if the Developer had addressed the infeastructure issues, there remain real concerns about the loss of green space, the impact on the landscape and how this would create a free for all to develop all the way along Derwent Road. It simply cannot go ahead.

As well as signing the petition, the best thing local residents can do to make their voices heard is to write (in their own words) to Aylesbury Vale District Council using the information below.
Tom Daly, the man leading the community fight against this plan has helpfully prepared a summary document of objections which residents may wish to use.
Residents should write or email Aylesbury Vale District Council BEFORE 4th February 2015 which is when the consultation period ends.

2/…THE LANDSCAPE of Valley Farm site has been assessed as some of the best quality in the area by AVDC environmental officers (Grade 1 ) and recommended not to be built on. The elevation and topography of the landscape would expose every house built to blot the landscape.
3/...FOOTPATHS and nearest point of open walkable countryside/ far reaching views will be lost to locals.
4/… THE EXPOSED VALLEY SIDE is the reason the Appeal inspector said that building here would destroy all scenic value to travellers from bypass or at a distance. This is why existing housing stops at the Valley edge.
5/…PRECEDENT This area is now totally undeveloped and any building at all would set a precedent in Western Linslade for more infill between the bounds of existing homes and the bypass.
