There should have been a proper process around this. It is not how you show respect and thanks to someone who has given so much to VRC

I feel members should definitely be consulted in these matters. Calvin and his coaching staff should remain in place. They are helping us through a difficult time in sports with the pandemic, by keeping the lessons, clinics, tournaments and above all the junior program running. We need to be sure there is no disruption to the club like this when membership is critical.
He has put in over 40 yrs, has outstanding qualifications, and has done so much for the sport throughout our club and the province.

I have worked beside Calvin for 26 years.
Calvin has dedicated over half of his life to coaching and running of the VRC programs.
VRC would be hard pressed to find a coach of Calvin's qualifications and experience. It would be nice to see the Board of Directors respect and acknowledge the years of service Calvin has given to the VRC Badminton Program

Calvin is an institution at VRC and an asset to the national Badminton community. 40 year coaches deserve a high level of feedback and support, membership should have been more involved. After 40 years VRC owes Calvin an exit plan that is far more fair and gradual than this.

The commitment and skill of the coaches in the vrc badminton program is impeccable as is and I don't believe a change in coaching would benefit the membership. Also, changing the NCCP coaching requirement to a level 1 is not a standard for badminton coaches that I, or my fellow members, would want to see for the future of the program.

I completely disagree with the recent actions of the board of directors in regards to the badminton coaching program.
