Take off the masks and quit being dictators. There’s no mask mandate, and children shouldn’t be forced to hide their face any longer.
Those that want to wear them go ahead, but quit making it mandatory. It’s giving people “power” to control others and its not necessary. It’s also not making any difference as these numbers have been skewed to push fear.
Texas has moved on from the shenanigans it’s time the school district does as well.

Please unmask our kids NOW! This should have never happened. The majority of people feel this way. Do not let the small loud minority dictate this issue. Breathing is crucial to learning. It is that simple.

Please keep in mind that every major study on mask efficacy has shown that there is NO significant difference between mask and non-mask wearers contracting a virus. Three weeks ago the CDC stated that there is a 2% difference. Contrast this with the mounting body of evidence regarding the potential for harm due to mask wearing- elevated CO2 levels, "mask mouth" that leads to gum disease, heart disease and possible stroke, etc.
I have no problem with students choosing to wear masks, if this is the case they should be safe.
I know that the current policy has been well-intentioned, however, it is not based on scientific studies. I would be happy to provide dozens of documents of actual studies if desired or personally speak with a member of the decision-making team.
All four of my children have moved through MISD and we have been very pleased. Sadly, this is a black mark on their experience.

Mandates such as this restrict the freedom we as a people are proud to have. The mayor of McKinney, George Fuller, is also a hypocrite while he attends a mask-burning party and yet tells his constituents that masks should be worn when in gatherings and unable to distance yourself. He sure wasn’t distanced when he was right upon people for pictures. This poor excuse needs to go!
