Hooray for the Rail Trail! Ukiah's Quality of Life has improved because of the trail and will take another leap with the important next phase.

We need a rail trail that extends from ukiah to Willits, but are delighted to support the first phases of the trail.

What a lovely addition to the City of Ukiah! We need more distance to get more cars off the road! Let's promote the trails on the City website to attract more visitors.

The trail is a great addition to downtown Ukiah, however, as other's have said, it needs to be extended to provide a viable link to the core portions of Ukiah. A segment connecting Ford Street to the Forks could prove valuable in giving students at Mendocino College a safe alternative to riding along State Street. Additionally, if significant mileage could be added - the trail could become a tourism draw. http://atfiles.org/files/pdf/Mendocino-County-Rail-with-Trail-Plan.pdf

Please proceed with this trail project. We need to build a pedestrian and cycling path that is safe from vehicular traffic through our community. It will encourage more people to ride their bikes or walk, reducing pollution and traffic congestion across our community.

I don't currently live in the city limits, but would spend more time there spending locally if I felt that I could walk from one section of town to another safely and off the main arteries.

This is needed to control our homeless situation, provide access to the track way in emergency situations and create an active life style for the community. The west side has alleys for nice walking why not the other parts of town? I live on ford street and feel much safer having this walkway and my mother has become more active. Please don't stop the project.

Certainly nice that the trail was installed. Even better would be an extension north and south in less congested and more scenic areas.

Rails to trails save communities! Property values GO UP. Vandalism, drug related crime GO DOWN! Ignornance of these facts is tantamount to stupidity!
