The university officially reversed the centralization policy and confirmed all campuses can enter teams into top Intervarsity games. Thank you for staying loud until they had no choice but to listen. Keep watching the upcoming tournament schedules to ensure they follow through on this commitment.

It is one of the highlights as a student to participate in competitions with other universities throughout Ireland. Jordanstown would tend to dominate any joint team so Coleraine and Magee would have little representation

DCU Soccer fully support the right of our fellow IUFU member,UU Coleraine to enter the Collingwood Cup in Galway. We urge the UU authorities to reconsider their opposition to their entry as it flies in the face of the spirit of intervarsity sporting competition.

To have represented UUC at Collingwood level in the 1980s was a tremendous honour for me personally, which helped develop me as both a person and professionally, and it is a crying shame future students at UUC will no longer enjoy this opportunity. I urge the university authorities to reconsider their position.

This course of action can only reduce overall student participation. How can this be a good idea? Student sport has suffered in recent years and mechanisms need to be found to increase participation across all sports. This appears shortsighted.

The Collingwood is a brilliant tournament that allows the students to represent their University. The rivalry between each of the Universities was always great, particularly amongst the UU universities. Don't take away that identity and special connection the students have representing their Uni.

To centralise soccer on the Jordanstown campus only is a great offence to the students at both Coleraine and Magee and should be reconsidered. It seems strange to ignore potential talent across the University. As a football coach I would try to select players from as wide a base as possible.
