If you don’t feel comfortable going to in person then don’t go.... but let my daughter go if she wants to. She’s an adult now who needs to learn to make her own decisions and live with the consequences.

My son is a freshman who was so excited to be attending OU, especially because he was accepted to be part of the “Pride” of Oklahoma Marching Band is now very disappointed in the entire experience! I as the payer of his tuition feel I am being taken advantage of!

Masks outdoors are suffocating and face to face classes for all are desired. Give these kids a choice.

The current OU restrictions, while presumably well-intended, are clearly ineffective in preventing the spread of Covid--which is actually of no big concern because, as EXPERT statistics universally show, and as the OU Covid Dashboard clearly reflects, Covid, for college-age students, is NOT a deadly threat; it is not something that they need to be "protected" from. As such, the campus mandates are way out of proportion to the actual risk for students. In fact, at this point, the mandates are doing more harm than good. There is no evidence that the current mandates are "protecting" students' physical health; yet they ARE damaging their mental health. And, the most fundamental problem of all is this: the restrictions are significantly hampering the quality of the education the students expected to receive at OU (and had the right to expect). Campus mandates--if any-- with regard to Covid need to be appropriate, based on what is good for the STUDENTS, not as a result of pressure from society at large; this is a university, not a nursing home.

Allow these kids to take a break from the masks while outside. Keeping their immune system strong and healthy is a much better defense than a mask.
Stop the propaganda
Remove masks’
Remove the mask mandate in Norman in general!
