I am a honors student and employee at the University of Georgia. Education, including higher education, is essential and should be accessible to all. I stand with the undocumented students and allies in opposing policies 4.1.6 and 4.3.4 that cause desegregation in our schools.

If we as a school want to continue being a top university, we must allow education for all. Discriminating is hurtful and only hurts our school and those not able to have access to the education.

UGA must be a model for non-discrimination in our state.

Why ban wonderful and bright minds from a college that will let so many smart students achieve their dreams of becoming doctors, judges, and so many things that will make this country better! I can't believe this state prefers to miss out on so many bright minds and people, and instead choose to ban us.

Why haven't we done a better job of learning from our past? Segregation is segregation; discrimination is discrimination. Allow all academically qualified Georgians equal access to UGA!!!

This ban is depriving UGA from a unique group of students who are committed with their community and would add diversity to our classes. It is hurting a very motivated group of students and the community at large. It is discriminatory (how come anyone in the world can apply to UGA but not students with Georgia High School Diplomas?) and it wrong. We don't want to continue to teach UGA students that we live in a State that allows discriminatory laws and resolutions, as it did in the past.

The Board of Regents policy banning students who are not yet legal residents from the five research institutions is unfair both to the students and to the future of our state. As former president of the Clarke County school board I a concerned that our promise to our students of giving them a first rate education is being denied by this ban. Many of these students were in the top of their graduating classes. Why are we robbing them of the finest education within our state, and why are we robbing our state of top notch academics and professionals. Please do the right for them and for the all the residents of Georgia lift the ban on these students.

As a student who grew up 5 minutes away from UGA I was taught to idealize the school. To be make it my priority because it's a great school; but seeing how it discriminates and bans undocumented students i'm ashamed. Please lift the ban and resegregate your school.

It's not an issue of social status, it's an issue with people who are here illegally. President Morehead is already doing the right thing and I applaud him.
