As a 2006 alumna and Foundation Fellow, I encourage President Morehead to stand courageously for equal access to education based on academic merit, not social status. President Morehead has the power to enact the values of justice and equality he championed for years as a mentor to myself and countless other alumni. It is never too late to do the right thing.

I believe the correct term is "illegal." How the hell does it make sense to even think about giving in state tuition to someone who is in our country illegally. I'm a proud American citizen, and I wouldn't get in-state in Georgia, why should someone here illegally have that right? Your argument doesn't make sense. Illegal immigrants are parasites to our government and give a bad name to great people who come here legally. What we need to do is deport them, and if they want to come back, they can come legally, move to Georgia, and then get the tuition. Your school should be rewarded for denying illegals in-state tuition, not protested. I would also recommend learning what segregation actually is.
