Absolutely! TWEED MUST EXPAND. What opposition doesn't understand is that without expanding the runway or facilities airlines will leave and never return, just look at what happened to GON. The opposition claims are factless and just plain oblivious to not just New Haven's prospective goals, but also that of the whole southern portion of CT.

I utilize Tweed New Haven to travel, this airport saves me traveling money on transportation and time to get the distance airport. Tweed New Haven Airport is a 20 minute ride verse a 2 hour ride.

It shouldn’t take 10 years to pave 600-1000 feet of runway so the people of greater New Haven will have a real commercial airport

Bayer Pharmaceuticals left its headquarters in Orange because of the difficulty in transportation. They specifically meant the flight problems. To remain competitive, we have to allow Tweed to grow into a major regional airport.

A necessary development for the area.

Tweed is the handiest airport for local flyers, not New York or Bradley almost in Massachusetts.

I believe in the expansion of Tweed. Anything less is counterproductive to growth in southern CT and East Haven in particular

I am behind the expansion of Tweed New Haven Airport, I firmly believe it will be an economic boost to both New Haven and East Haven...

Would love to see HVN expanded which would allow for the option of going there instead of BDL when the need comes to fly home on military leave.

Tweeds time has come to be a true regional airport and the area residents can use a home town airport and not one almost in Massachusetts.

First I must say that having Hartford (BDL) is all good, but that is in the northern part of the state. It requires a long drive up to BDL. Tweed must be allowed to expand if it is even to survive. It has to compete with HPN in New York and BDL up in Hartford with longer runways and extensive facilities. The state is putting all of its attention into BDL with the demolition and creation of a new terminal. US Airways and American Airlines have merged, usually in mergers, they try to streamline things. If Tweed is not seen as valuable they may reduce or eliminate service and we will be without airline service to Tweed. Who knows, American may want to get rid of the Dash 8 turboprops. They forget that there are other airports in the state that if improved, could bring jobs and more money particularly to New Haven County. I believe Tweed should be allowed to expand the main runway and even expand the terminal in order to attract airlines. If Tweed is allowed to get more competitive and expands, it will help the entire state. Tweed needs more destinations and the incentive for the airlines to send larger jets. Also with more airlines, ticket prices at Tweed should drop.

The continued development of Tweed Airport will benefit thousands of residents of Southern CT by providing an environmentally responsible airport option for those who do not wish to drive dozens of miles for services that could be available in their own region.

The residents of New Haven County deserve to have a airport that brings them the the travel luxuries that we deserve. Millions of dollars into an airport that doesn't really exist is ridiculous.

Let us have an airport that we can use!
