Tell Sens. Flake & McCain: Thoroughly Vet Cabinet Nominees

It is imperative that each selection be reviewed before being allowed to be reviewed. Again, the Republican party is trying to FAST TRACK these positions. These people are wealthy business people, many who are adamantly opposed to supporting the very offices they are supposed to support! THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. Thank you for your support and wisdom in NOT ALLOWING THIS IRRESPONSIBLY FAST TRACKING!

Many many Americans do not feel comfortable with Trumps nominees. Please investigate and vet them thoroughly for the good of the American people. Many are not qualified for the position they are nominated for.

Every single cabinet nominee must be thoroughly vetted for their records and ethics. Don't just give in to Trump; please do your job and take the time to really examine these nominees.

There must be a thorough and transparent hearing process for each nominee, with background information and financial records submitted in ample time for Congressional review and public comment before any votes are scheduled. Each nominee must also pass a rigorous FBI background check, submit financial disclosure statements, cooperate with ethics investigations, and undergo thorough review into potential conflicts of interest or outstanding tax matters that could expose them to criminal prosecution. This is what has been expected of Cabinet nominees in the past and it is what must be expected now.

My goal is to ensure fair review for each person put forth for the cabinet. The same treatment as given to Obama nominees. No easy pass for anyone please. Our nation is calling on you to do the hardest thing - stand up for all of us under God. Thank you for your support.

Please insist on a thorough, non-partisan review of Trump's cabinet nominees before confirmation begins. We need ethical leaders without multiple conflicts of interest. These people are supposed to serve us, the citizens of the US, not themselves and their own interests and pockets.

the complete vetting of all cabinet nominees should be a standard practice for all cabinet and other nominees ahead of any scheduling of confirmation hearings. This is not a party issue, this is an American issue that should not be short circuited by either party. Benjamin Franklin said, "Absolute power, corrupts absolutely". Our constituion requires congress to ensure that the people chosen to serve in these positions are qualified and have the country's best intentions on top of mind. this cannot be done before the vetting process is completed.

All candidates require vetting.

They should be thoroughly vetted before hearings. Your job requires that have a responsibility to American citizens to represent our best interests.

Vetting cabinet members is an important step to avoid conflicts of interest and to protect our democracy. The Senate has the responsibility to not fast track this step.

Please consider blocking the nomination of Betsy DeVos as Secretary of Education and Rex Tillerson as Secretary of State. DeVos is an example of the billionaire class that buys influence, without experience. DeVos has no experience in public education, and as a public school teacher in Arizona and as a mother, I think this is unconscionable. She doesn't believe in our public schools, and she wants to privatize our public school system. This is unacceptable, and will only benefit the rich and will further diminish the already-under siege education of the poor, disadvantaged, rural, and children of color. Rex Tillerson is a dangerous friend of Putin who has no business leading our foreign diplomacy efforts. He has multiple conflicts of interest as CEO of Exxon, and even if he gives up that post, those conflicts for me. Please stand up to these billionaires who think they can Byam fluids, and dismantle what is great about our country.

It is the Senates patriotic duty to protect our citizens by following well established procedures to thoroughly review nominees.

You must carefully vet these nominees! FBI background checks, conflicts of interest, public offices and business dealings, etc.! You are representing all of us. Please take that position seriously.

They should at least submit the basic application before being granted a hearing!
