The Troup County Board of Education should repeal the rule of only allowing high school seniors to exempt finals

this rule is one of the most stupid I've ever heard, we all come to school to learn and we should all get the opportunity to exempt finals if we work hard for it every year. some people don't care at all but most people do, but by doing this it won't make anyone care and more and more people will start missing school days, acting up in class and they won't care to get iss. Do you really want more like that to worry about ? Think about what you're doing.

In a upcoming 10th grader, I don't think this rule is freaking fair. Kids that do the right thing in school should be rewarded with out of school days. Straight up

This is just an abomination

Honestly exempting finals was one of the best things about high school. It made me more motivated to do good in class, so I could get out a couple days earlier. It also made me not miss school as much, because being excused from those last few days made it all worth it.

While I do respect the administrators and everyone in their respective places, I do strongly disagree with this decision. Exempting final exams works as an incentive for students who consistently strive for academic success. Therefore I request that the b.o.e. reconsider this proposal/rule.

This is ridiculous if other students do not have the rightto examine their finals that will call students to not work as hard and students will fail

I can't believe this is even an issue. What happen to being fair. Rules are rules but rules Dont just go for on group. It goes for everyone.

Any child with an A average should be exempt as reward.

I totally agree with this rule because students with good grades don't deserve rewards because that's just nonsense. Great job troup county :)

It's not fair for students who aren't seniors to be forced to take finals, especially the ones who usually exempt due to good grades, good attendance, good behavior, and who bust their butts to be successful. Also if they chose to take it it could only help and showed us students the teachers and faculty actually cared about us. Exempting finals was the award you got for that, now there is no motivation for students who need it, and adds more stress on top of the rest, especially in AP classes.

I may have graduated but this still is pretty unfair. Kids who work hard should be rewarded.
