Three Rivers Montessori is based on the Montessori philosophy of education and human development.
We see the child as a motivated participant in their education, learning through self-instigated actions in the environment. Because of this belief, we emphasize hands on learning, individualized lessons and cooperative social interactions. Our curriculum is comprised of practical life, language and mathematics. Geography, history, science, art, music, literature and physical education are also included.
Three Rivers Montessori will be within ISD 728 and operate as a public non-profit organization offering a non-secretarian education program. Our goal in the first five years is to have a thriving 1st-8th grade program after opening in the fall of 2018.

Montessori has changed our daughter's life! We are delighted for this opportunity and have no hesitation to send our children to Three Rivers!
I would love a charter montessori in elk river. my son will be in 1sr grade starting fall 2017.
I believe in the Montessori model and providing a local school would be a wonderful addition to our community! I will send both of my children!
Elk River Schools have to many kids to a class. I wish now that I would have looked into a better education with more one on one time for my kids. At times they had 32 kids to a classroom my son struggled in reading and still does today and he is a JR in HS Without him being "different " and going into special reading classes I wish I would have looked into a school with smaller class sizes so the teacher would have time for him instead of the misbehaved kids who took that time away
We need alternatives to the current public establishments. I have seen too many children's dreams, abilities and personalities squelched by "following the rules" of current schools
Looking forward to that!
I believe a school like this is vital to the growth of the community and I fully support this program.

Montessori education is a necessary option for parents in a world of cookie cutter classroom teaching that many of our kids do not fit into.
