110 percent behind Montessori, as a dyslexic, we are way behind exploring different avenues for learning
I am a Montessori teacher and I know that Carroll County will benefit from having a Montessori Charter School to benfit those that choose to learn in a different manner.
I currently have three children attending Carroll County public schools. I have been impressed and grateful for all of the growth and opportunities they have had in the school system, but I am deeply aware that the traditional public school structure does not always cater to different learning styles nor does it offer the "best" format for learning. Unfortunately, we cannot afford private schools to fulfill the needs of our children. I would be thrilled at the possibility of a public alternative, especially one with the rich history and success of Montessori. I appreciate and approve of the values, the mission, and the methods of Montessori. I would be most grateful if my child had the opportunity to attend a Montessori school.
It's well known that Carroll County public schools are excellent. I think a Montessori charter school would offer students in Carroll County another option and way of learning that would compliment the existing school system.
My children are currently attending a Montessori pre-school/kindergarten. I am completely amazed by the growth and learning I see them acheiving every day. And I love seeing the joy and love of learning that the Montessori method of teaching is fostering. I desperately wish there were Montessori public school so that my children could continue to learn in such a wonderful program.
