Final supporters
This petition is to allow parents of students at Transylvania College to show their support for the Official Requests made to the schools management relating to; Teachers dismissals, lack of communication and solutions to upholding curriculum standards.
(Romanian version of this text is below)
This petition is formal request for management, namely Ruxandra Mercea, to provide clear and honest answers to the following questions:
1) Why were multiple teachers released from their contracts?
2) Who are they being replaced by, when will this happen and are they Subject Specialists?
3) Why was the decision made to not communicate any of this information to parents and why have parents been ignored for 2+ weeks despite the schools own policy stating a 5 day maximum timeframe for a response?
4) What solutions will be implemented by the school management to assure parents that in the future the decisions that can affect the education of the students, as well as the emotional or physical well-being will be communicated by the leadership to the parents? What will be put into place to ensure that this communication breakdown from school management to parents will not happen again?
This petition will be provided to school management 24 hours before the meeting to be held on Friday 16th and in line with the schools own Complaints Policy we expect clear and concise answers by 10am Thursday 22nd February 2024.

Această petiție este concepută pentru a permite părinților elevilor de la Transylvania College să-și exprime sprijinul pentru Cererile Oficiale adresate conducerii școlii referitoare la: concedierea profesorilor, lipsa comunicării din partea managementului și gasirea soluțiilor pentru menținerea standardelor mentionate în curriculum.
Această petiție este o solicitare formală către conducere, în special către Ruxandra Mercea, pentru a furniza răspunsuri clare și oneste la următoarele întrebări:
- 1.De ce au fost eliberați din contracte mai mulți profesori?
- 2.Cine îi va înlocui și când se va întâmpla acest lucru?
- 3.De ce s-a luat decizia de a nu comunica aceste informații părinților și de ce au fost ignorați părinții timp de peste 2 săptămâni?
- 4.Ce soluții vor fi implementate de către conducerea școlii pentru a asigura părinții că pe viitor aspectele care pot afecta educația elevilor, cat și bunăstarea
- lor emotionala sau fizica vor fi comunicate de către leadership?
Această petiție va fi furnizată conducerii școlii cu 24 de ore înainte de ședința care va avea loc vineri, 16 februarie, și în conformitate cu Politica proprie de Plângeri a școlii, ne așteptăm la răspunsuri clare și concise până la ora 10 dimineața de joi, 22 februarie 2024.

I really did not think this would gain this much steam so fast but here we are and it just proves that we all feel the same level of frustration with the current lack of transparency. Seeing so many people show up really makes me feel like we might actually get those answers from management because they simply cannot ignore this volume of people anymore.

The lack of transparency here is really shocking. My child is missing consistent instruction and nobody will tell us why or what the plan is. This needs to change immediately.

This attitude towards communicating with the parents is not singular, is not an exception. Completely ignoring legitimate requests and questions from the parents is the preferred way of "handling" them. This is not the first and won't be the last time they do this, unless we stand together and push until the school understands that this simply is unacceptable, unethical and simply demeaning to parents and students alike.
Living in the uk means I can’t attend meetings and so the ability to submit questions online would be very useful
I very much appreciate the positive engagement of parents to work with the school and to have the type of proper communication and information to parents that would help the school, parents and students alike.

I have signed this petition because I am concerned about the potential negative impact that future decisions may have on the education of our children. We are not discussing just any business now, where we can afford to take risks. When it comes to the education of our children, we expect professionalism and competence from the school. It is not our role to control or influence school decisions, as long as the school provides quality education and a safe environment for our children. These can only be achieved with competent teachers, who are treated with respect, as valuable partners in the academic process. We chose Transylvania College because we were assured that here we would find a responsible and trustworthy, long-term partner. If that is the case, I see no problem in clarifying expectations on both sides and defining a set of boundaries that should not be crossed by any party. Like any parent, we are very sensitive to anything that affects our children. I am confident that the school representatives can understand this and will be open to a constructive dialogue so that, together, we can find solutions to enhance the quality of the educational process.

E revoltator ce se intampla. Platim taxe de scolarizare enorme pentru ca managementul sa ne ignore cand avem probleme reale cu plecarea profilor. Vrem raspunsuri clare acum!
