Please allow these sports men and women to wear these swimming caps. There is obviously no advantage to speed to wearing one. Just comfort for those with such a head of hair.
From a lover of sport.

This is appalling - this will not happen again. It’s all the swim community are talking about right now. Let’s make our voices heard.

How absolutely ridiculous that with all that is going on in the world you choose to ban a head that support an athlete in the swimming. Seriously

These caps do not enhance or impede the athlete's performance. To deny their use is to deny access to the sport to many people with a specific hair type and is discrimination. To change your mind on this decision will show respect and provides an example of growth that will open up the sport to many more people.

Don't be racist idiots FINA... just because you think something 'wasnt needed before' doesn't mean it isn't needed now, or at all a negative thing, or even that it wasn't actually needed before - and its absence contributed to a self-sustaining exclusionary environment in a great sport which should always be for everyone.
Thank you for reconsidering. It's OK to be wrong, recognise it, and change. Please reverse this ban.

Having been a competitive swimmer in my youth, and with long hair , I understand the need for the new design. I do not think the soul cap will create an edge over the standard cap. In fact, there may be more drag. So, if competitors using these aren't aiming for a streamlining advantage.

I'm sure women didn't use to wear sports bras either, move with the times and let everyone perform to their full potential
