FINA, get with the times. How could this cap possibly be seen as something to make one go faster, like the "fast suits" of previous years? These caps simply reflect the growing diversity of the swim community.

Why didn’t we know about this.

Allowing competitors to choose the caps they prefer (as long as they don’t confer an unfair advantage - which seems unlikely in this case) just makes sense. Changing this decision would send a positive message to future generations of swimmers, allowing for more potential achievers for to be included

For goodness sake see sense and accept people need to have the tools they need to do their job and we aren’t all the same and as such need different tools to do the same job

The only reason to ban something like this is to avoid unfair advantage- I see no justifiable reason why a cap that fits people especially some black people would fit this reason.

FINA needs to come out of the dark ages and realize that more POC are wanting to be included in swimming. This cap will enable them to do so. Change your ruling!

This decision is not only exclusionary and divisive, but makes no sense. Please reconsider this and make sure that people of all races and ethnicities are included and made to feel welcome in the sport of swimming.
