Request for the City of Stuart to withdraw its objection to the Kanner CPUD order

Way too much traffic, red lights too long, green too short, too many accidents, peoples lives are at risk

Please preserve all wetland and town designated open space. The integrity of this pretty, quiet little town is at stake. There’s plenty of room elsewhere and perhaps just as accessible to the dollars patrons wish to spend. Let’s remember this is a private club requiring membership. The public is not invited, but the member shopper will not be just the Martin county shopper. Send Costco North somewhere like St Lucie county where they are investing massive funds for infrastructure and development for younger families. Better investment there. The town of Stuart needs to preserve its more gentle relationship with the environment and our wildlife. We have trailcam of all species of animals in our backyard. We live near a preserve which is near the Kanner site. It is cruel to remove more habitats and potentially dangerous in terms of flooding potential to wildlife and humans.

No to Costco and all the traffic and congestion it would cause

VoteWater, headquartered in Sewalls Point, formally requests the city withdraw its objection on the basis of erroneous or incomplete reports submitted by the developers as to crucial wetlands on the property.

I'm not against Costco in general, but the proposed location on Kanner Hwy. is not appropriate at all. Too much congestion as it is. Please stop.

I have resided in Palm City for 32 years. We drive across the Palm City Bridge frequently to go into downtown Stuart, the beach, or north to Jensen Beach. We use the Indian Street bridge to go to the stores Home Depot, Sprouts, and the places of business along US 1 in Stuart. We have found traffic backup due to influx of new developments in Stuart. We are alarmed that the City of Stuart is destroying our way of life. We feel great disappointment that the City of Stuart would be going against our codes to protect us from overdevelopment. Why? The people have spoken. The judge has spoken. Enough is enough!

It seems are elected officials often forget who they work for, it's we the Tax Payers not the developers.

This type of development belongs near the I-95 or Turnpike corridor, not in an already congested residential and high school section of town. Not "best use" for this parcel or keeping with Stuart's stated goals for development.

Slow down the build, respect the natural space needed for life; humans and animals.

I live in Martin County. I’m expressing my opinion about the appeal filed by the City of Stuart. Tho’ not resident of the city many of us a strongly effected by land use around us. I am strong opposed to the kind of land use put forth by the city in this particular case.

Palm city. Just over the bridge from proposed site. Kantor HWY is already to busy. To put this business and house is adding insult to injury. Costco needs to be next to turnpike or I-95, in Port St Lucie.

Enough is enough. Until all the vacant office and business spaces that currently exist are full, put a moratorium on building - we don’t need more cement! Time to stop the build!

Keep it small…

Growth in Martin County is inevitable and good but protect it, so we do not become another Jupiter!! It will destroy out beauty!

I'm not against COSTCO, I am against ignoring the Comprehensive Plan. Build where zoning allows. Too many developers are pushing to create another overdeveloped Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties. Move on developers, leave us alone.

This affects me even though I live outside the city boundaries.

I did live in the city of Stuart from 1998 to 2017 and I am opposed to the Costco project.

Please save our county from becoming a Broward County

Please stop wasting taxpayers $$$$ I am a resident of Martin County
