I live on Salerno Road which is just outside of the city limit. The area considered for the Costco would greatly impact our lifestyle in a negative way here in Stuart.

Been here since 81 as an FIT student, graduated. Development is at an all time high. In the past, nature rules. Things were protected. People respected the land, water and wildlife. Please do your best to Keep Martin Ecologically Sound. That’s MY plea.

Costco establishments are considered by Costco to be regional locations and should be located close to regional roads

Please obide by the will of your tax paying city residents and withdraw your objection for the judge ruling and stop being the lap dogs of Costco.

Live in the county. We don’t need Costco anywhere in Martin County. We already have Sam’s and BJ’s. Also, we have enough gas stations and apartments going up. Traffic is already bad enough.

My address is in Stuart, I live off of Salerno, but yet I’m not in the city of Stuart boundary. Yet for whatever reason the city can decide to annex property all over the county to suit their development agenda, even though my address is a heck of a lot closer to Stuart than some of the places they try to annex. This development should have NEVER been approved or even attempted. It is one thing to put a neighborhood there, the impact of traffic would be no where near what putting a Costco there will do. It already gets backed up at the Colorado light when trying to turn left onto US one from Kanner. And yet so much more traffic will come from St. Lucie county over the Roosevelt bridge and through that same light to go to Costco. As a taxpayer, voter, and home owner it is sickening to see the level of shady back door deals happening as well as the complete devastation of our wildlife and trees all in the name of development. We aren’t going to have any paradise left by the time the developers are through making money in our county, they will have paved over it all and put up parking lots. We have already lost the charm of our small town in the last 10 years, we are going to look like Broward county and St. Lucie county before long, and that is not a good thing.

I live in Martin County just south of Salerno Rd. I may not live inside the city limits but what goes on in Stuart certainly has a daily impact on me and my family. There is entirely too much going on with building and zoning changes and it’s ruining our small town vibe. Traffic is getting worse each year. As much as I love Costco, that is a terrible place to put it. Stop spending.our tax dollars to fight the ALJ’s recommendation—the developer and Costco already stopped.

I am against this property zoning being changed and also because of the traffic congestion that the area cannot handle. In addition, the fact that there are 7+ wetlands being possibly bulldozed over is against our zoning ordinances.

Extremely bad location for this intensity. Traffic on Kanner already backed up especially at Kanner and US-1 and Kanner and Monterey and Kanner at High School. Costco needs to locate on US-1 as did the rest of large Box Stores.

This is absolutely not a good place for a Costco and everything they want to build with it!
