That is extortion. It does not cost £301 for them to replace a lost bus pass and they have a record (with ID) that you have paid for one.

Absolutely outrageous that stagecoach thinks it is okay to charge for a whole new pass just for losing a ticket which is so easily done

It is not fair that we have to pay £301 if we loose our bus pass. Also this pertains only to those who buy it online. In that case you should mention this prior to the selling of the pass.

Preposterous for Stagecoach to pass off the bus pass as an item that we can claim on contents insurance considering that firstly many students will likely not have contents insurance covering lost possessions outside of the home (though most insurers will refuse to cover it under home contents or gadgets etc... anyway), and secondly due to the fact that Stagecoach passed this ruling without any warning whatsoever, even those who have insurance would likely not have had the chance to register their bus pass as a high value item above £250.

This is clearly another example of companies attempting to fleece students for as much as possible. It would make services slower, especially at the end of the year when it both busy on the busses because of study pressure and when students would buy individual tickets because it is cheaper than forking out for a new pass.

It is completely unfair that a student who may accidentally lose their bus pass has to pay in full for a new one. That is a ridiculous amount of money that none of us can afford to spend! It just feels as though Stagecoach are trying to rip off us students as much as possible.

It will put people off buying a bus pass completely! What if someone's purse gets stolen? How is that their fault? Stagecoach must understand that as student we HAVE NO MONEY that's the point. I already struggle to make ends meet and I have a job. I had to use savings to buy a pass this year and they must understand that we have no other way to get to university. We HAVE to buy a bus pass (walking is not an option). Absolutely ridiculous

No one should have to pay such a ridiculous amount for a replacement even if they didn't lose it out of their own fault

Absolutely disgusting, for a bus service that doesnt provide enough adequate enough service. The buses are in poor condition, never on time and dont run regularly enough. 312 pounds for a piece of paper in a terrible condition when we recieve it? Are you joking.

The cost of the bus pass far outweighs the current level of service. As a student, I could not afford to replace my pass at the new price and I feel charging this amount is completely unjustified.
