That's ridiculous. In my student flat my loan doesn't cover my rent and all my wages go on food. I could NOT possibly afford to shell out another £300+ for a uni pass when records clearly show I've already bought one. Just another way of making money from us. Disgusting

Everyone wants to rip off students, well not this time! Wawick uni should provide its own bus service. It'll be cheaper and better

If they're worried about fraudulent tickets this isn't going to help - people can still make fraudulent tickets! They can't pretend to have lost one and give it to their friends but come on, who really does that any way. Imagine losing your wallet (or having it stolen) on the first day of term and then having to shell out another 300 pounds! Ridiculous and shameful if the uni allows this to happen

Stagecoach are profiteering. A small admin fee which covers the cost would be reasonable. Can local MP or vice chancellor support a reversal of this policy?

This is a ludicrous initiative designed entirely to squeeze as much money out of students as possible, and the amount required to pay for a second bus pass is an amount that many students simply would not be able to pay. (Most community bus services charge around £5 for the replacement of a pass. There is no reason in hell why £301 pounds is an acceptable amount to charge for a replacement)

This doesn't make sense. Everyone seems to lose their bus pass at one time or another. In fact it means that we are less likely to want to buy a bus pass for a year. If you want to reduce fraud, find a way to disable the original bus pass once a new one is issued.
