the signs are not properly right they should be a sign saying busses, taxis and cyclist and should be a massive red sign saying no entry

At Surbiton Crescent I was confronted by 5 signs including one that said "...except buses, taxis and for access" and that is why I drove through... for access! This signage is unclear and I have witnessed many other cars doing exactly what I did...driving through. You only have a matter of seconds to decipher 5 signs and then decide what to do. This is clearly a money making exercise when the signage could have been made much clearer. How about a clear "No Entry" sign except for buses and taxis? Too simple? But, of course, Kingston CC wouldn't then get the revenue they have collected

My husband received a fine and we are pensioners. He did not see the signage and it was his first fine ever.

Sign totally misleading and certainly not clear enough to drivers who are concentrating on the road ahead.

Please make signage clear and understandable. Maybe provide local seminars for first offenders, explaining reasons for doing so, "lessons in road signage, bus lane restrictions, drivers don't have to stop at roundabouts if nothing is coming, to move to the left hand lane ASAP on A roads and motorways etc.

We were fined back in November because the signage was inadequate. Our appeal was refused and we were threatened with double the fine if we didn't pay. It's a sly and underhand money making scam. The council should be ashamed.

I was fined for driving through on 1st December. It was 7pm, dark and raining and the signs were not at all visible. Really makes me so cross to think of how many people have been fined and how much money they are making.

Like everyone else I would like my money back - total and utter stitch up, very unfair.

The penalty charge was delivered whilst we were away and hence had to pay £130. I informed RBK Parking Services of this, asking for a refund on 10 January, but have not had a reply. I agree with comments other road users have made.

when in a low van, probably similarly in other vehicles, your eyey follow at eye level and see the signage "give way to oncoming vehicles, at which point you are looking further afield to see if any oncoming vehicles and not skyward to read the contradiction signage of no motor vehicles.

It's unfair of any council to catch people out for their own gain. The signage isn't clear on that road from the Surbiton side.

I was shocked to receive a penalty charge for this.

I've already challenged and lost, though still not paid. I was issued two tickets within 8 minutes of each other, the signs were at the time badly lit, and I assumed all part of the disruption caused by the go cycle concept. 35 years of driving around here, so this was just second nature to drive through the width restrictions

I received 2 PCNs on the same morning because I did not realise the road was now closed to cars. I was furious but paid the first fine and appealed the second. I actually now want the first one refunded as this is blatant profiteering.
