Fight back to stop Kingston councils money making scam on issuing penalty charges

Just came round to it for the 1st time with the wife.I was distracted by the sign with bus and taxis and then with cars and bikes.By the time you realise what it all means a lot of people would have gone through. Not good.

Aside from robbing law abiding citizens in terms of money, people also go through a lot of stress as well.This malpractice must stop now...... and I think higher authorities must take appropriate action against councils unfair act towards public.

I paid this fine after not living in the borough my sat nav took me that way and it was too late to safely turn around once I reached the junction so I'm hoping for a refund!!

My partner got a ticket here as I was at a baby Christmas party an we ain't from the area

Signage was very poor. No signs saying Changed road layout or similar as you would expect.

We got fined for going down that road. No warnings

Freckin trap if your'e turning from the main road.

This an the bus lane fines. It's stopped me going in to Kingston. I'd prefer to go to Richmond or in to London. AWFUL council

Shameles money grabbing behaviour. Stop it now!

We were fined for using this road and as a local resident didn't expect the new limitation. There wasn't sufficient road signage and we didn't know until we received the fine that you couldn't use the road in a car

Not enough adequate warning signs, does not come up as no entry on sat nav either!

I would like my fine refunded as this was absolutely disgraceful. Very little warning . Signage is poor leading to the crescent

The money does not come from Kingston council so the money raised by penalty fines is presumably is going elsewhere. But why let the truth intrude. The Portsmouth Road improvements, are part of the £30 million Go Cycle scheme, funded by TfL and the Mayor of London to improve the health of Kingston’s streets through investment in new walking and cycling links, improving safety and enhancing public spaces.

Great that this petition has been started. The council is using penalty fares as a way of raising money to fund the debacle that is Portsmouth Road's cycle Lane. Refund the fines Kingston Council!

Enough! Please also do something about excessive rate charges vs inadequate services - 3 x what I paid in Wandsworth for considerably lower standards. Outrageous behaviour!

This is clearly just a revenue generating except excercise. It is very badly marked with one sign hidden by trees. Rediculous and just plain nasty. Was there any consultation process?

Shame on you Kingston Council! You fined me too, are you proud of yourselves? I have only used that rod 3 times in my life, so like with most of the other drivers, you behaved like a spider enticing me into your web. So we not pay enough taxes to you already?
