Fight back to stop Kingston councils money making scam on issuing penalty charges

Seen 11:53 18/03/17 Fine £65 24/03/17 Not very happy!

Ive been done twice. going through the road and coming back out again. Should I pay the fine

Signage inadequate. Not clearly visible from the minimum 45m (147 ft) as indicated in Traffic Signs Manual for 20mph roads. No fair indication or suggestions for cars to use Anglesea Road as only non-contravening option to access Surbiton Road from Surbiton Crescent.

working as mini cab driver ,went to pick up customer got ticket,appealed rejected.totally unfair way of making money.should be refunded

Very very unfair and just a money making scheme!

Don't drivers pay enough in tax, duty and other tolls, congestion charges etc!

I've been charged for this. Was driving at night and never even saw the sign saying cars not allowed

Signage is poor, 20 years I been driving down that road and the reasons r poor, buses aren't held up down that road they have 2 stops to stop at anyway. And u have added restricted to drive thru how does that speed up buses? This is just another way to make money from motorists.

Cash cow for the local council...Put an end to it now!!!

Unclear signage !

It's sneeky, the signage is unclear and as a long time resident and driver of the area I agree that proper bus route only, road closed, traffic diverted signs should be in place - RBK making money in an underhand manner. Bad Guys!

Disgusted. I had no idea this road whicjh I have used since I was a student at University in Kingston in 1995 was so drastically changed. Sneeky. unnecessary. pointless. I dont know how they get up in the morning. they are supposed to be working for the greater good of the town. I will be boycotting Kingston and Surbiton for quite a while.

Signage was not clear enough, I did not see that the road was only for buses and there was no prior warning at the entrance of the road

This restriction was originally for a trail period only and it's aim was to make the Crescent 'Cycle friendly' . Surely it would be in the cyclists safety interests to divert them down Palace Road to their extremely expensive dedicated Portsmouth Road cycle lane rather than encouraging them to continue their journey into Kingston via Penryhn Road. This farcical scheme will soon affect Claremont Road; Cyclists will be expected to navigate across the Waitrose Car Park entrance into the Crescent and then join a short dedicated cycle lane from the Crescent's exit to the junction with Maple Road, loosing many needed car parking places. I suspect that the handful of cyclists will simply ignore this suggested route and continue down Claremont Road, probably in dark clothing and with no lights.

this petition is a very good idea but needs better coverage from what I have read on other forums over 22,000 people have been caught by this scam .but I believe don't know about this petition

I really do not see the point of this apart from making money for the Council.

Local authorities seem to be run by people who can't get a real job - where you have to something useful!
