The park officials finally agreed to change the rules so bikes are officially welcome. I am entirely drained from this fight but seeing the new signs up makes it worth the effort.

The park remains restricted despite the clear need for change and I am exhausted by the ongoing silence from the authorities. I am spending my time reaching out to local officials to demand a conversation about these outdated rules.

Seeing this progress helps remind me why we started this fight in the first place. The road ahead remains long and difficult but this momentum proves that we are not fighting alone.

Bikes cause no more harm then skater boards do. To leave out a certain group is not right. They have just as much right to be there as anyone else. It's a great place to keep everyone contained in one place instead of finding other places to ride bikes.
Bikes should be allowed in skate parks! They just changed the rules in Midland Michigans skate park- now open for all!! Pro skater Tony Hawk has done a lot of work and promotes skate parks to be for multifunctional purposes. Skaters and bikers alike. Look it up, it's awesome!
I was one of the bmxers before this got built that help raise monies for this place only to be burned and not able to ride the place. I moved away now I work in the area and would love to spend my lunch and money in the area of this park.
I had a local park that didn't allow bikes and the city fought tooth and nail keeping us out. Just like everyone else that got to enjoy the park we all paid for the park through our tax money. It's a waste of city money and cops time patrolling a park and kicking kids out. I believe bikes should be allowed and rules and violations are always made up by someone that has no clue what really goes on at a skate park they just copy, another big parks rules in some city and play the insurance won't cover it card. Well guess what anyone can sue at any time biker, skater,a person walking....etc. So do whats right and allow the kids to enjoy a smile and ride their little hearts out. Thanks Montana Ricky
Coming from a family who owns multiple bike shops in the area, I can honestly say I'm surprised this park doesn't allow bikes! Hopefully this petition will help change that.
