Request for Engineering and Construction of Turn Lanes on Sicard Hollow Road and Liberty Parkway intersection for Waiting Carpool Traffic

DANGEROUS 3-way! We need a light at the end of sicard heading towards cahaba heights. Cars come down from Cahaba very quickly and we are trying to turn LEFT onto Blue Lake. And really gets backed up in morning rush-hour with those trying to get onto 280 using Blue Lake.

This is one of several necessary improvements (turn lanes, traffic light at Blue Lake Drive, repaving) needed Sicard Hollow.

I'm a physician. I almost never have school drop off but there are urgent matters at our closest hospital (Grandview medical center) which could be delayed with traffic. Sicard Hallow is the most direct route. Additional lanes are more than appropriate surrounding our schools, Sports complex, and new Park.

This needs to be address seriously by the City Gov.

Please add an extra turn lane on Sicard Hollow leading into Liberty Park. This area becomes so unsafe during school dismissal time. Not sure what can be done for the cars making a left hand turn, but that should be addressed as well. There's no safe way to go around the cars without driving on the shoulder of the road.

Very serious problem that needs to be solved.

They need to add a long turning lane on Liberty Parkway too. It's terrible around 2:30 and 3:30.

There needs to be more attention applied to Cahaba Heights in regards to traffic control and flow. With the vast expansion of Sicard Hollow, the traffic thru CH has increased greatly.

This would help traffic so much at peak school time!

Sicard Hollow needs designated bike lanes, not sharrows. Desperately needs improvements. This has become a hazardous road, with heavy traffic.

This needs to be addressed immediately before the 5,000 HealthSouth employees start rolling in.

During the period of time in which this issue is being debated, I request the city of jurisdiction for the intersection referenced in said petition erect the necessary signage in accordance with "2006 Alabama Code - Section 32-5A-137 — Stopping, standing or parking prohibited in specified places" so as to mitigate the danger of cars blocking a major thouroughfare for an extended period of time and to direct drivers to use the safer means of dropping off and picking students up from school which is the Liberty Park neighborhood road systems.

Please erect the required signage in accordance with the "2006 Alabama Code - Section 32-5A-137 — Stopping, standing or parking prohibited in specified places" at the petition referenced location so as to prevent people from dangerously blocking a major thoroughfare and to direct people to use the Liberty Park neighborhood road systems for dropping off and picking up students at the LP elementary and middle schools.

I'd like not to risk my life every time that I want to leave my house between 1:45 and 3:15 or have to reroute going around the long way simply because y'all are not willing to reroute traffic into and out of VHELP properly and safely.

Turn lanes and reengineering needed badly.
