I oppose any increased power of the State over the Towns, let's preserve our citizen power close to home

This must be a bad dream to feel that our State government wants to completely control/destroy our lives. This ought to stop. Our town school system is very overcrowded, despite that big part of our property taxes for the board of education is so high.

I oppose both these bills. They infringe on the longstanding rights to local management of private property taxation and zoning.

Just when CT is in a place to take advantage of the horrible Westchester taxes, and then this is proposed? Really foolish!

Further taxation will cripple the taxpayer, cause more people to leave the state and further devalue our homes

According to US News and World Reports, Connecticut has the fourth highest effective property tax rate in the country. Let’s not make it any worse. And let’s not allow statewide zoning mandates to give our citizenry yet another reason to leave our beautiful state.
