The zoning bill is destructive to Our natural environment and confiscatory of the value of our resident's homes.

This is totally unacceptable and a policy to drive people out of their homes and most likely out of Connecticut.

Please, let's be fair to the residents of who have chosen CT as a wonderful ST in which to live.

Local real estate tax issues like these should reside with town not the state.

This bill makes no sense. CT is already charging too much in taxes and if CT doesn't understand what is going on in CA and NY we will be not far behind with their problems. Alienating state residents with taxes and regulations such as these will encourage me to move out of state. I am already starting to debate that in my head. I own a business here and will relocate the business and the state will lose not just my real estate, and auto property taxes, they will lose the business and personal income tax not including all the other fees and regulations I am already paying for. People have options and people will leave.

We will move away from Greenwich if our property taxes go up any higher.

CT collected more taxes during the pandemic that before. We are also receiving federal aid. The average selling price for a home in Stamford is $550K. Modest homes in less affluent towns are going for over $300K. While the assessed value is below market, assessments go up over time.
Why are we raising taxes and continuing to drive people and businesses out of the state? If I were retired, this would be the last straw.

As a 3rd generation CT resident, I am already appalled by our sad state of affairs that has prompted many residents to leave a once fine state. I know more ready to pack their bags. State control over local issues will increase taxes, waste money, and more residents will flee. I am against passage of SB 171 and SB 1024

No more property taxes. Run our cities and towns better, and stop taking my hard earned money.
