I presently serve as the Commissioner of Housing and Building for the City of Yonkers, I can not think of more ill-conceived way to "desegregate" a community. This proposal considers none of the impacts on infrastructure and the community. If you want to see what this experiment will look like I invite you to visit Yonkers and I will show you the one-family neighborhoods that are over-crowded and have no parking look like because of illegal conversions of single family homes in to "affodable" 2-3 and 4 family homes.

I’m out of work and cannot afford more taxes simply because the state thinks my house is a mansion at 1750 sqft and 300k. Impose the tax on those that make millions.

oppose state control of local zoning. Greenwich as done an excellent job and our residents are deeply involved in P&Z issues and meetings. We need to keep it that way for our community. This bill would bring crowding and parking problems to our town.

This will only continue to drive more people to leave CT- as many of my friends have already done.

20 years RTM. State real estate tax and zoning proposals would be the end of any hope for turning CT around.

Just another attempt by know it all liberals to inflict their opinions on the world. Zoning needs to be decided at a local level by people who know what affects the local area. The tax proposed is just another attempt to fund the State with Fairfield County. Local government, not big government is needed.

CT taxes social security payment and pensions. The tax burden for a senior is overwhelming. The last thing we need is another tax. Making it harder and harder to remain in CT.

All people are welcome in our towns. Pushing a state power grab on the basis of racism is shameful. Zoning control should remain a local issue.
The state needs to start thinking of ways to grow its tax base instead of exploiting the ever shrinking base that is trying to hold on in CT.
These policies moving power up the government to state and federal levels do not work. People are forgetting what made/makes this country great. Limit government overreach.

Residents are already leaving the state because of high taxes. Additional state property tax will increase that trend.
Zoning control is such an over step! The state has no business interfering in local zoning.
