This legislation goes against everything that represents the independent spirit of Connecticut and New England. The state's founders must be turning in their graves!

We do not want the state to manage out zoning and our economy is too fragile to absorb more taxes... which will only drive more people out of CT

I vehemently oppose this bill and know that if enacted I will sell my property and leave the state. The state of Connecticut needs to get its finances in better order and not try to place more financial burden on its residents.

I am opposed to these bills.

This will push those residents like myself that are contemplating moving to Florida to leave Connecticut for good. We and so many others no longer need to stay in CT and if taxes are raised, those with the means to do so will move leaving the middle class unable to support the rest of the state.

As an architect and planner zoning needs to stay locally controlled to work for local citizens.

We work hard as teachers and now this?

This is absurd given the level of taxation for just about everything in CT. Please reconsider.

Poorly thought out legislation. Taking no account for the fact that real estate is a county and town issue. That includes planning and zoning. Another harmful and giant overstep by big government to solve their ballooning budget.

This state zoning proposal will impose harm on the very people, (poor, middle class, urbanites, and minorities) it purports to help. The designers have utterly failed to think through the unintended consequences. This is no way to create effective affordable and low income housing. The mansion tax is similar. This rush to sneak bad policy into law in a state that is already number two in the nation for debt per capita and hasn’t been able to help the poor citizens of Hartford, New Haven, and Bridgeport for over 100 years, is yet another fake stab at “helping” those in need. Pure political madness. Please start thinking like a citizen not like a party hack.

Please do not invoke higher taxes nor change zoning laws that may cause overcrowding and cause more cars to be put out on unprotected streets.
