I do not want these bills to become laws. They are going to send people to other states...

Property taxes and planning and zoning regulations are best handled by local authorities.

This is outrageous, I am totally against this. Our elected officials need to work with the people who didn't vote for them as well to come to a middle ground?

CT Is on the verge of an accelerated exodus which continued tax increases will most certainly cause. The better way to create a stronger state for the long term is to fix our underlying spending issues.

I’m 69 and looking at condos in Greenwich, passage of this bill would make it next to impossible for me to realize the aforementioned dream. I have lived in Greenwich my entire life and wish to remain here.

What ever happened to Federalism and home rule. Why should the state have jurisdiction over Greenwich housing?

We already pay extremely high taxes, raising taxes more will end up driving people away from CT.

This is not a mansion tax since you could not even buy a small house where I live for that amount?

I strongly oppose these bills. When I lived in Bayside, Queens, developers bought up many beautiful old homes, knocked them down and put up multiple family dwelling boxes. It destroyed the neighborhood, depressed property values, and looked horrible. It took the town years to put in laws to stop it. By that time most of the damage had been done and a beautiful working class neighborhood had been destroyed. Please don't let that happen to our town. The $300,000 millionaries tax is ridiculous. What decade are these officials living in? The 1950's?
