Strongly oppose this, as municipal control of schools, police and fire departments, public works, etc. should not be turned over to the State, and therefore only municipalities know what taxes are appropriate to fund those operations.

Taxation is out of control in state. Must be stopped now!

Local gov shd not yield authority to “developers” who most likely do not even believe in this bill - but will surely reap the monetary rewards of following it.

Please do not allow this bill to go through. We are hard working class family and can not afford another tax increase. Most working class Northeast homes costs more than $300K. We have a roof on top of our heads and go to work to make both ends meet. We do not own “mansions” that costs $300K. We own working class homes for $300K.

The state is getting money from the Feds . You need to control your spending and $300K is not a luxury home! Once more you want to put the middle class out in the streets. Tax the wealthy. Oh that's right...the politicians are the wealthy.

The exercise of local government over local concerns should not be interfered with by a state government attempting to engage in social engineering.

Now new taxes certainly not state controlled zoning and state tax - you’ll drive people out of the state

I oppose this bill. Come to Fairfield county and see what $400,000 buys you in real estate, definitely not a mansion. We are hard working people! Just something else to drive people out of CT!!

$300k is too low for a mansion tax. $600-700k should be the minimum.
