I am opposed to SB 171 and SB 1024. Connecticut's income levels, property values, social structure, and community needs are too diverse for one-size fits all zoning and property tax laws. Local government should control local development and property taxes.

I oppose the state control of zoning and the tax on property going to the state. Drop consideration of SB171 and 1024. NO NEW TAXES

No state gov't involvement in Zoning and no increase in property taxes

This legislation would have a very negative effect on our community and communities, taking control away from local elected officials and the people in the communities.

Zoning has long been a responsibility of local communities which is tailored to the local needs and community character. State control is an assault on property ownership rights. We oppose any state mandates. We oppose any new tax increases and urge the state to live within its budget. Many of our friends and neighbors have left CT as there is a continuing and relentless tax drain on Fairfield County residents. Those moving in likely do not have the same income profile and thus the State is losing out on a net basis. Please stop the departure of our friends and neighbors, respectfully, no new taxes. Thank you.

We need to drop any consideration SB 171 and SB 1024. The New Haven mayor's racist comments are indicative of the type of divisive leadership we should overcome.

Taxes are getting ridiculous. People are barely surviving. Why does the government think they have a right to keep going into the pockets of Americans! Stop it!

taxes will keep going up and property values will decline. Too many successful businesses and high tax payers have already hurt Ct.'s tax income by moving out of state. Many will follow if this proposal is successful.

We are losing residents because taxes are already too high. To increase them will drive more residents out and further erode the tax base
