The State of Connecticut has consistently demonstrated its inability to manage fiscally and seeks to destroy what is good in this State by destroying any local control of our Town.

Property taxes should only be local.

Connecticut needs to seek solutions that help create job growth and attract new residents and businesses to the state. This is what will help improve CT. These two proposed bills will do just the opposite

I haven't heard one intelligent rationale for these bills. I oppose both of them.

It is the job of our state government to defend the rights of its citizens under the US Constitution from a Federal government that is becoming too powerful. It is NOT your job or your right to redistribute wealth and divide us so that the state government can have more power and control over We The People. Both of these bills do just that; they redistribute wealth and divide us and they MUST be stopped. We The People don't want a government that controls our lives and steals from the MIDDLE CLASS who will be hurt the most by this power Grab. There are plenty of other states that understand this and that is why CT - the highest taxed state in the country - will see mass exodus and property values plummet if these taxes are imposed. CT will end up with less revenue as a result. A LOT Less!

The state needs to figure out less disparate and burdensome ways to address budget needs, and should look at cutting wasteful programs rather than raising taxes on property or anything else.
